Heather has trained at Flex Studios/The Florida Dance Exchange in Sarasota, FL where she was a member of the Flex Studio Company. She also taught at The Flex Sudios from 1987 to 1989 and again from 1993 to 1996. Heather was also an instructor at Child Craft Development Activity, Inc. in Sarasota, FL in 1996.

In 1993, Heather graduated Cum Laude from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA with a degree in Dance and a concentration in Jazz. During college, Heather was a stage performer and manager at Frontier Town in Ocean City, MD, a performer at the Jazz Dance World Congress in Chicago, IL, and a performer with the Venice Little Theater in Venice FL and The Sarasota Players in Sarasota, FL.

Heather was a member of the Up With People cast in 1994, touring the globe as a dancer, singer and supporting cast member.

She continued her dance focused education and earned a Masters degree in Applied Psychology and Dance/Movement Therapy with a minor in counseling from Antioch New England Graduate School in Keene, NH. While in graduate school, Heather was a dance instructor at The Moving Company in Keene, NH, a group facilitator at Clowning Around, a division of family services in Monadnock, NH, worked with teens at Acting Out in Keene, NH and did multiple volunteer activities in the Keene, NH community.

Heather worked as a Child Life Therapist for the Tomorrows Children's Institute at Hackensack Medical Center in Hackensack, NJ, and as a movement therapist at the Valerie Fund at St. Barnabas Hospital in Livingston, NJ. She also worked as a nanny for two different families in NJ.

Heather is now married, lives in Annandale, and has two children.
